Our Story
Since 1898, the Vancouver Medical Association (VMA) has been dedicated to supporting physicians across Greater Vancouver. As a non-profit medical society, the VMA brings together family physicians, specialists, residents, and medical students to foster collaboration, professional development, and a strong medical community.
The VMA continues to advocate for physicians while promoting excellence in healthcare and supporting the future of medicine throughout British Columbia.

Over 125 Years of Leadership and Service
Since 1898, the Vancouver Medical Association has been dedicated to supporting physicians, promoting excellence in healthcare, and improving the wellbeing ofour community.
Founded in 1898, the Vancouver Medical Association has supported physicians for more than 125 years.
Since 2012, membership has grown from 79 physicians to more than 400 members, reflecting a strong and engaged medical community committed to collaboration, education, and professional excellence.
